There is no shortage of activities for all ages at Big Bend National Park. From hiking to birding to white water rafting, the possibilities seem limitless. Big Bend is a photographer’s dreamland. Deep canyons and high overlooks, reptiles and birds, cacti and the Rio Grande all provide endless content for a photographer.

What makes Big Bend so great for photographers is its dramatic contrasts and extensive variety. From the large protected area of the Chihuahuan Desert to the Chisos Mountains, the variation in climate and terrain provides an ever changing experience.
